Names of specific spots in Boracay, except for newly developed private sites, were given by our old Boracaynon elders which we now see as part of the island's history and identity. If we don't want Boracay to be called Bora (because Boracay is not Bora naman talaga), why we popularize Lapus-lapus as Boracay Keyhole now? There is no official document recognizing Lapus-lapus as now "Boracay Keyhole". Lapus-lapus means "tagusan" in Tagalog or "pass through" in English. Isn't that a beautiful story how our elders name it to? Please let us not outcast our island ancestors by renaming it. That is a public properly. Private companies cannot rename it for marketing purposes.
