By Gil delos Santos Opinion: The number of consumers lining up at the manager's office everyday since last week after they massively sent disconnection notices seem to become a power booster to its decision makers making the consumers feel compelled to be thankful to Akelco's consideration to stagger payments. Heck! Akelco either needs to revamp its payment policy or kick the policy binded managers with no balls to protect the struggling public. We cannot boast "We heal as one" reasoning if the company only aims to heal themselves. What about the Boracay consumers who are even struggling to feed themselves at this point of the pandemic? Akelco operates in the whole Aklan. Boracay island is one area that is generally dependent on tourism. The island's tourism recovery has not even reached up to 2% at this point in time.
