What's Due for Boracay

The values of the past, the community vibe of the past, the original Boracay spirit - these are all memories of the present. The old days are gone. The simplicity of the island life is robbed.

Over-development is the robber of Boracay's original culture, heritage, and living tradition system & practices. Boracay was good before the chinese have known Boracay. How can we be so happy how Boracay turned into a commercial island when most of its natives become less privileged citizens if not outcasts in their own birthed island at the present time?

Boracay, did you think that the political leaders who make decisions whom you voted and adored really helped you? While they have all the luxury of life since their political installation, how long have you tasted the same luxury yourself? Isipin mo! Baka during election time lang. The luxury of enveloped money during campaign period is a temporary joy that kills your future and your children's future. Stop patronizing robbers!

Stop the pushers and the lobbyists of hyper developments! Boracay exceeds its carrying capacity already. And the mainland Malay is in great threat of environmental destruction too. Mega corporations' greenwashing takes its way in. Greed and business empire building in Malay shall be on its way in full circle if we choose the same decision makers who are identified in good friends with mega corporations. Don't trade your integrity, don't compromise your children's future. Go for protection and sustainabilty of Boracay and the environmental conservation of Malay. That's my vote for 2022! Hope yours too.

Local's Perspective on The Proposed Boracay Bridge

WALKING THE IGBARAS CIRCUIT FOR 3-DAYS + 1

By Gil delos Santos IGBARAS is a third class municipality in the South-western part of Iloilo province known to be one of the hiker's favorite destinations as they are blessed with waterfalls, caves, climbing rocks, beautiful mountain ridges which the popular Mount Napulak belongs to, and locals with notable genuine hospitality. We initiated the hike from Barangay Igcabugao which we had to pass through a community of mountain residents as we ascend to our first Mountain, Napulak. I had absorbed a good load of happy innocent vibe connecting to the children before starting the proper mountain journey. These kids have physically grown from the time I last saw them in my previous visits. At the same time, the reconnection naturally streamed down and effortlessly grown too.
